Poetic is a poetry website by Nurit Kahana, a published poet from Haifa, Israel. Ever since she was a child, her main interests have been reading the classics, and writing - the miraculous process of creating fiction and poetry out of reality.

Nurit has published three poetry collections in Hebrew, the first one, ‘Hakranat Hatzot’ was sponsored by the Yehoshua Rabinovich Foundation.

Apart from writing poetry, Nurit worked as a journalist in ‘Haaretz’ daily newspaper, writing mainly about social and gender equality issues.

Nurit holds an MA degree in Political Science from Haifa University. In the early seventies she was an activist in the Israeli feminist movement.
